Ayurvedic Doctor Mentorship

 

Welcome to your mentoring program! Do you ever feel you need more support as you try to take on clients in your Ayurvedic practice? It is quite natural to feel the need to discuss your cases with someone who is an expert to just make sure that you are doing it right or to explore more options as you travel up the learning curve. Our Mentor program is a first ever and "one of a kind" unique opportunity for you to learn and grow by interacting with Ayurvedic practitioners with scores of experience and teaching in India. Allowing you deeper education while ensuring positive results for your clients and building confidence in your practice.

 

This online program was created in response to the requests from several students who have completed the AWC and AWP programs, and felt they needed additional support. At Kerala Ayurveda Academy we want to support our students to ensure each can offer the best care for their clients. Kerala is called the cradle of Ayurveda for obvious reasons and it is our effort to provide our students with direct access to authentic Ayurvedic practitioners from Kerala. Every mentor session will be one on one and customized to your specific needs.

 

The program is open to all sincere students and practitioners irrespective of location who have completed our program. All you need is an open mind to learn more and willingness to dive deeper into the science of Ayurveda. Each mentor session will be lead with your needs in mind. For example, if you are working with a client and you are not sure what suggestions you would like to provide for them, you will be able to discuss the case with your mentor at the scheduled time. In other sessions you may prefer to use your time to discusses specific Ayurvedic questions to further your understanding of Ayurveda.

 

Each consultation will be scheduled, paid for and held online. They will also be recorded to ensure quality. We are excited to share with you are continued efforts to provide Kerala Ayurveda Academy students and alumni with the best authentic Ayurvedic education and resources.

Dr. Karthik Krishnan

Currently working at Kerala Ayurveda River Retreat as Medical Officer. Has deep passion for Ayurveda as a healing science and interested in its spiritual dimensions . Trained professionally and traditionally in the science of healing,he believes each and everything in Ayurveda follows an undeniable rationale,Yukthi as the saints fondly called it. Key skills- Clinical ayurvedic diagnosis,Rakthamoksha and Agnikarma. Striving to work out the role of Nadi (pulse) in diagnosis and specific action of Ayurveda formulations.

Dr.Suraj Subhash
BAMS, MD

 

Hailing from a non Ayurvedic family, Dr Surej grew up seeing Ayurvedic practices done on his ailing grandmother thus inculcating the interest for pursuing Ayurveda as a career. He graduated in the year 2006 from the esteemed Sri Chandreashekharendra Vishwamahavidyalaya under the blessings of the Great His Holiness Sri Chandrashekhara Saraswathy of Kanchi mutt. He was trained by Dr P.A.Sudhir in his college days where he mastered different Ayurvedic procedures and treatment techniques. He started his practice at the Kottakkal Arya Vaidyashala Agency at Velacherry in Chennai where he had successfully treated numerous cases of Back pain, neurological and musculoskeletal disorders.

 

He then worked as the Junior Doctor in Sarathy Ayurveda Hospital where he mastered the skills of Hospital management and acquired further skills in treating various patients. 

 

He joined the Govt. Ayurveda College Tripunithura as a teaching faculty in the year 2007, where he handled departments of the Fundamentals and Basic principles of Ayurveda, Nidana and Anatomy. He also used to handle the various outpatient departments of the college, and had his personal practice. It is during the tenure in College he developed interests in teaching and learning more about Ayurveda.

 

After successful completion of one year in Ayurveda College Tripunithura, he moved on to Bangalore where he was in charge of the Ayurvedic wing of the Vivekananda Yoga Kendra at Jigini, which was run in collaboration with the famous Coimbatore Aryavaidya Pharmacy. He was involved in setting up the clinic and hospital and was the chief consultant of Ayurvedic wing.

 

2008 July he was selected for higher studies in Ayurveda and was eligible for a seat in Kayachikitsa (General Medicine) in Karnataka and he joined DGM Ayurveda College Gadag to pursue his higher education. During his post graduation course, he attended many seminars and had presented papers in some of the seminars. He was also taking classes regularly for the graduates in the same college. Under the guidance of Dr R V Shettar, he successfully completed his thesis work on “A study to evaluate the efficacy of Madhumalini Vasantha in Asthi Kshaya with special reference to Osteoporosis” 

 

He successfully completed his Post graduation in the year 2011 with high credentials In June 2011 he joined as the Physician in Kerala Ayurveda Hospital. He handles the Outpatient as well as the inpatient department of the hospital. He also works as the faculty of the Kerala Ayurveda academy where he handles various classes for the doctors training program. He has conducted classes for national and international students of Ayurveda

Dr.Martina Mathachan

Dr Martina has completed BAMS from Vaidyarathnam, Ayurveda College, Thaikkatussery Ollur, Thrissur. She has worked in Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda dispensary – Kalamassery as consulting physician & currently working in Kerala Ayurvedic Limited, Aluva as duty doctor.

Dr. C. Ashwin Chandra
BAMS MD [Ayurveda]

 

  • Presently working as Ayurvedic Consultant for Kerala Ayurveda Limited, Somajiguda Branch.
  • Worked as Ayurvedic Consultant and Technical Co-ordinator for Therapy Ayurveda at Hyderabad, India from Jan 2011 to July 2012.
  • Worked as Ayurvedic Consultant cum Director of Operations at Ayurcare South Africa, Illovo, Johannesburg, South Africa during March 2009 to Dec 2010.
  • Served TAFSA – The Ayurveda Foundation of South Africa as Board Director Education and Research during May 2009 till Dec 2010.
  • Worked with THO – Traditional Healers Organization of South Africa as Ayurvedic facilitator for Advanced Traditional Primary Health Care Course during May 2010 to Dec 2010.
  • As a part of TAFSA in collaboration with AYUSH and Indian Consulate Johannesburg actively organized an International Conference on Ayurveda serving Africa in Sep’2009 and in Sep’2010.
  • Worked as Ayurvedic Consultant at Ayurcare/Therapy ayurveda Hyderabad, India during Nov’2005 to Feb’2009.
  • Worked as Lecturer/Reader Department of Panchakarma at Ayurveda College & Hospital [100 bedded] Coimbatore, Tamilnadu during Nov’2004 to Oct’2005.

Dr. Nimin Sreedhar

Nimin Sreedhar started his study of ayurvedic medicine in the year 2002 at NAMC, Kerala, India. He finished his studies in the year 2008 and attained the title Ayurvedacharya ( BAMS) Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery from Mahatma Gandhi University.
 
 
Hails from a family of doctors and traditional healers. He has received exclusive training in medicines and panchakarma from the Ashtavaidyan, Vaidyamadhom Cheriya Narayanan Nambootiri. He has three years of teaching experience in various domestic and international institutions. He has served as guest lecturer for Kerala Chapter of Mayur University, London. Currently a member of the KAL family, he is the Head of Content Initiatives. He is also the Executive Editor of Kerala Ayurveda Vaidyam, a renowned quarterly magazine on Ayurveda.
Dr.George Davis

Dr.George Davis Started his study of ayurvedic medicine in the year 1998 at Govt. Ayurveda College Tripunithura Kerala,India. He finished his studies in the year 2004 and attained the title ayurvedacharya ( BAMS) Bachelor of ayurvedic medicine & surgery. From Mahatma Gandhi University.

 

He started working in world's largest Ayurvedic hospital Kottakal Arya Vaidyasala Ayurvedic Hospital and Research Center Kerala with more than 450 beds as assistant. physician. In 2006 he worked at Kottkal Arya Vaidyasala Hospital at Kolkata and got the opportunity to be the Ayurvedic consultant of Governor of West Bengal H.E Gopalakrishna Gandhi, Grandson of Mahatma Gandhi. Managed successfully several cases of Arthritis and musculo-skeletal disorders.

 

Later from 2007 to 2010, He worked as chief Ayurveda consultant at SANIPAYA ayurveda centre for neuro degenerative diseases in Kirrcheimboladen Germany. Where he treated many neuro and spinal debilitating conditions and got several successes. Also conducted a series of work shops in Berlin, Brussels and Munich. During this period he completed his MBA in Management consulting from university of Ludwigshafen. Since 2010 he works as Director of Kerala Ayurveda academy handling classes of Doctors, therapist and foreign nationals. He specific subjects include Ayurveda panchakarma and Life style disorders
